Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young are highly regarded as one of the most influential and groundbreaking bands to come out of the folk rock scene bursting from Laurel Canyon in the late 60’s and early 70’s. Starting out as a trio in 1969 with the album Crosby, Stills & Nash, the band quickly added in Neil Young who appeared on their 1970 chart topping album Deja Vu.

Returning to the Cohoes Music Hall after a sold-out success in 2025, local musicians Matt Plummer, Mike O’Donnell, Chris Carey, James Gascoyne, and Matt Griffin (and other special guests) will be performing material from CSNY's first two albums, as well as performing a mix of songs from Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young’s other projects (Buffalo Springfield, Neil Young and Crazy Horse, Manassas) and solo careers. Put on in part by A Zan Strumfeld Show.

Mike O’Donnell: With his roots firmly planted in the bedrock of the independent scene, Mike O’Donnell offers a guide to the sonic galaxy beyond his humble upstate New York beginnings. Mike has been a member of Saratoga’s own Rodeo Barons for over a decade and his recent project, Motorbike, has made quite a splash. Their 2019 release, “Victory Lap,” features a roster including Wreckless Eric and local native Chris Carey.

Chris Carey: Chris Carey is a native of New York's Capital Region. A born musician, he grew up playing any instrument within reach (or turning any random object into one). He has spent the last two-plus decades in many different musical roles. These include session musician/sideman to several local greats including Super 400 and Sean Rowe, engineer and producer at his Millstone Studio in Saratoga Springs, solo artist/songwriter, educator at Troy Music Academy and co-frontman of local folk-rock favorites Rodeo Barons.

James Gascoyne: James Gascoyne is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and teacher based in Saratoga Springs, NY. Originally from Louisville, KY, James has been an active participant in the NYS Capital Region arts community since 2004, most recently performing with Drank The Gold, Rodeo Barons, Reese Fulmer & The Carriage House Band, Carolyn Shapiro, Angelina Valente, Girl Blue, The Millstone Rounders, Whiz-Bang, Bohm Dialogue, LE RUBB, MIDI Forts, Bush Pilots, and many others. He has toured nationally with a variety of groups, such as Miss Tess & The Talkbacks, Railbird, The Sea The Sea, and others, at times performing on bass, guitar, percussion, electronics, and vocals. Since 2020 he has taught classes and helped develop youth programming at The Caffe Lena School Of Music in Saratoga.

Matt Griffin: Matt Griffin is a multi-instrumentalist based out of Schuylerville, New York. Playing with area groups such as Blue Ranger, Griff, Angelina Valente, Whizbang, The Millstone Rounders, Let’s Be Leonard, and more. Currently Matt works at Caffe Lena in Saratoga, New York, and teaches at the school of music there.

Matt Plummer: Matt Plummer is a singer-songwriter based in Troy, NY. For the last decade, Matt was the lead singer and guitarist of the Albany-based rock band Bendt. He’s also made appearances at Capital Region based singer-songwriter events such as Song City and Lena Go Round. With influences ranging from Nick Drake to Queens of the Stone Age, Matt’s musical stylings encompass a unique blend of dynamic and powerhouse vocals and soothing melodies.
