Located at the back of the building, the elevator is accessed from the municipal lot or through the alley. The elevator services every level of the building, making the Music Hall fully accessible to persons with disabilities. Should you require wheelchair accessible seating, please call the box office at (518) 434-0776 for assistance in advance of the performance.
MANAGEMENT
The Cohoes Music Hall is managed by Playhouse Stage Company, the organization that has presented live, free theatre in Albany’s Washington Park for over three decades. Playhouse Stage Company produces multiple musicals at the Music Hall each year, and welcomes a wide variety of live music, stand-up comedy and civic events annually. Frequently Asked Questions about the Cohoes Music Hall
How many seats are in the Cohoes Music Hall?
Most shows include our traditional theatre seating, which allows for 450 audience members to enjoy each event. For certain shows, this number may be higher or lower, as our orchestra section offers flexible seating, and may be transformed into table seating for some events, or have the chairs removed entirely to allow for a dance floor.
Are seats assigned, or general admission?
This depends on the show you are seeing, but any seating information will be clear when you book your tickets through our website or through the box office. For shows with assigned seats, or assigned sections, patrons are not permitted to change their locations during the performance. Check your ticket confirmation if you are uncertain about seating assignments, or call the box office at (518) 434-0776 for clarification.
Are concessions available during events at the Music Hall?
Yes! We have a selection of popcorn, candy, soft drinks, and alcoholic beverages available at the concession stand located on the Box Office Level available for sale during events. All concession items purchased at the Cohoes Music Hall are permitted into the theatre. No outside food or beverages will be allowed inside the building.
What Happens if I misplace my ticket or email confirmation?
Not to worry! Just call the Box Office at 518-434-0776 during regular box office hours and a representative will help you! Tickets can be located in our system with a few key pieces of information and tickets can be reprinted or confirmed before the show. Only tickets with a unique QR code distributed through our system, Patron Manager, will be honored at the venue. Please do not purchase tickets from any third party sellers online, or accept hard copy tickets from someone you do not know, as these QR codes may not be verifiable once you arrive at the venue, and we do not work with any third party vendors.
